Tigers Get Rare Chance to Play Spoiler

After a great win verse Concordia the Tigers get a chance to play spoiler Tuesday night against Sioux Falls.

The Super Sophomores, Chase Walder and Brady Wiebe, led DWU with 21 and 20 points verse Concordia. Chase was 4-8 from the 3 point line, including 2 threes to end the first half, one being a buzzer beater. Brady was tough underneath and continued his run to be considered for GPAC Player-of-the-Year.

The Tiger will not play spoiler in the fact that they are the lower seed, but the chance for payback and to keep Sioux Falls from being "Cinderella" at The Big Dance. Ten days ago Sioux Falls kept DWU from winning the GPAC Regular Season Title and a ticket to the National Tournament.

Now with The Tigers a solid lock to make the tournament and Sioux Falls one game from making it, the role for survival is reversed. Sioux Falls is on a 4 game winning streak and have played their best basketball with their season on the line. After losing to Mt.Marty by 12 at home the Cougars season looked to be a lost cause, but in the last 4 games they have beat #2 DWU, #1 Morningside, #8 Dana, and # 5 Hastings.

Tuesday nights game should be very fun to watch. Expect Sioux Falls to bring a big, rowdy, and loud crowd. Hopefully with the Kernel's playing the same night DWU can get another great crowd (or even a bigger crowd) and help the Tigers remain undefeated at home in GPAC play.
